So, like a month ago this little kitty starts hanging around the new house that my roommate and I moved into this past summer. At first she was VERY skittish and shy, but we started leaving food out for her and pretty quickly she decided we were at least OK, and started hanging out with us a lot more.

We couldn't help but notice she had kinda full br ts for a little kitty and assumed she'd had a litter a couple points ago, because she was always alone when we saw her.

She just started hanging out with us more and more and being really sweet and affectionate, and amazingly comfortable around people and being handled by people for a feral/barn cat, what is what our neighbor across the street claims she is.

It turned out we miscalculated about her pregnancy, as about 2 weeks ago now we went to feed her like normal and she was acting.... Weird; and wouldn't leave the vicinity of this outdoor couch of our neighbors.

That was when we found her litter of 6 tiny kittens who couldn't have been more than a week old behind the couch, squeaking away with their eyes shut.

At that point we felt we had little choice but to take care of mama and these kittens and give them a safe and dry space of their own indoors, which we did, setting them up in our garage/workout room that's separate from the apartment and our cats. And it's worked out really great - mama and the kittens have stayed there for 2 entire weeks now, and everything has sort of gone amazingly well.

This mama cat really likes me especially, though. She'll just immediately start purring the second I pet her, will walk in step with me outside whenever we're together, has never even come close to growling or hissing at me when I'm around and handling her kittens - which is shocking to me.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to adopt her, I'm definitely going to get her spayed either way, I don't really know what else to do. These kittens already have lots of people who want to adopt them, they're pretty tough to resist when all 6 of them are in a cuddle-puddle together..

CypripediumGuttatum Awww they are all so sweet! Look at their little eyes and the spots on the belly ugh. I'd have a hard time letting all those babies go but good for you for finding them all homes and making sure momma gets fixed and can live with you forever!

kaworu876 OP Yep, we are seriously fantasizing about keeping them all right now they're just so ridiculously cute. I agree about the spots on the bellies - that's one of my favorite things about these kittens, although there are lots of things. They're going to be so well adjusted and trusting of humans that I think I'd find it hard giving them to just anyone, that's for sure.

They've just started running around and climbing and exploring all over the place like, today, though. Until now they weren't too mobile on their own, but at this point they've all figured out how to walk, and some have even figured out how to climb to a certain extent. So things are getting a little chaotic, I think Mom is very grateful for the help.
